Each Divider expands 1 1/4" from the wall of the case. It is great for a Laptop or IPad, or anything else that you want to stay against the wall of the case. The ONE DIVIDER can be built into your bag INSTEAD of the Panel Pocket. IF YOU DO NOT GET THE DIVIDER, EVERY BAG COMES WITH PANEL POCKETS ON EACH WALL.
